Overton Recycling–we turn old tires into tire shreds.
Tire derived aggregate (TDA) consists of scrap tires cut into pieces that have a basic geometrical shape and range between 2 inches (50 mm) and 12 inches (305 mm) in size and are intended for use in civil engineering applications.
We can pick up your old tires within these counties: Rio Blanco, Garfield, Moffat, Routt and Mesa County.
TDA Uses
TDA has been used as a construction material for over twenty years for various applications including lightweight fill, thermal insulation, vibration attenuation and drainage layers. Tire Derived Aggregate (TDA) uses include landscaping and pathway projects.
Benefits
The properties of TDA that create civil engineering value are:
- Lightweight
- Low earth pressure
- Good thermal insulation
- Good drainage
- Compressible
- Vibration mitigation
- Low cost
Civil Engineering Projects
Most prominent are TDA uses suitable for construction projects in road building and repair, transportation infrastructure, commercial and residential building and landfill design and construction.
We recycle everything–no jobs too small or too big!
